Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was heckled during a speech at the University of Buffalo on Wednesday night.
According to the Huffington Post, Clinton was at the campus as part of the school's Distinguished Speaker Series when a member of the audience began ranting about the September 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
“Benghazi, Benghazi, you let them die!” the man shouted, bringing up Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans — including two members of the CIA’s security team — who died in the attack.
The crowd cheered as Clinton spoke over the heckler.

“We have to be willing to come together as citizens to focus on the kind of future we want, which doesn't include yelling, it includes sitting down and talking with one another,” Clinton said as security guards removed the man from the audience.
Following the speech, Clinton answered questions, many of them relating to her presidential run in 2016.
“Perhaps you could describe for us what the ideal candidate for the president would look like,” an interviewer asked her.
“That is a new way of phrasing it,” Clinton said. “I have to give you credit.”

“I have to say, I’m not as interested as to what the candidate looks like as what the candidate stands for — what the candidate really believes America needs to be for the future, particularly for young people,” she answered. “We need to get back to doing what we do best, rolling up our sleeves and getting back to work.”
This is not the first time Clinton has been heckled. Huffington reports that during her 2008 presidential campaign, hecklers shouted “iron my shirt” at Clinton, and anti-war hecklers had their sights on her at a presidential forum.
The Washington Times reported that Pat Smith, a mother of one of the four Americans killed — State Department Information Officer Sean Smith — told CNN’s Jake Tapper in an interview that she blames Clinton for her son’s passing.
“Why couldn’t she do something about it?” Smith asked. “I blame her. That’s her department. She is supposed to be on top of it. Yet she claims she knows nothing.”
