Fox News Host Slammed For Ivanka Trump Joke

| by Sheena Vasani

Many are calling Fox News host Jesse Watters "sexist" and "rude" after making a seemingly inappropriate joke about first daughter Ivanka Trump.

Watters was talking on "The Five" about Ivanka's speech at a women in economics summit in Germany when he made the incendiary comments, reports the Daily Mail.

Ivanka had been booed by the audience when she spoke of President Donald Trump's commitment to protecting women and families.

In response, Watters chided liberal critics for disrespecting her and acting hypocritically.

This young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true.

"It's funny you know the left says they really respect women and when given an opportunity to respect a woman like that they boo and hiss," Watters said. "I always thought the Europeans were supposed to be so sophisticated and well-mannered and now they're treating her like this, like it's a soccer match. I don't understand what's going on. I think Ivanka is supposed to be the moderating voice for her father so I think people in Europe should support that."

Ironically, Watters sparked outrage exactly for what he had accused the left of.

"I don't know why, also, saying her father respects families is controversial," continued the host. "He's probably hired a ton of fathers, mothers and children so I really don't get what's going on here but I really liked how she was speaking into that microphone."

Viewers immediately erupted in anger over the allegedly lewd comments many believe Watters -- who recently transferred from ousted accused sexual harasser Bill O'Reilly's show for "The Five" -- made.

This young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true:

"Vile Fox News," tweeted one person. "Have you learned nothing or standing behind your vile culture? Say goodbye to Sky deal."

"Very rude to Ivanka!" added another. "Shameful!"

Some even called for For News to fire Watters.

Others thought his comments were no big deal.

"People are way too sensitive," one Daily Mail reader wrote. "You can't seem to say anything with getting a label."

"Wow, the left really are going after FOX," added another. "They can't survive if they allow freedom of expression."

Watters -- who is also a father to two daughters -- insists he did not mean to cause offense and refuses to apologize.

"During the break we were commenting on Ivanka’s voice and how it was low and steady and resonates like a smooth jazz radio DJ," he said. "This was in no way a joke about anything else."

Last year Watters also sparked controversy for what many considered a racist interview with Asian pedestrians about their opinions on President Trump. New York Mayor Bill de Blasio called the interviews "vile."

Waters later expressed remorse.
