Video: Westboro Baptist Church Met by Counter-Protest at Sgt. Donna Johnson's Funeral

The Westboro Baptist Church is infamous for picketing the funerals of U.S. soldiers. However, their latest protest was met with a counter protest in Raeford, North Carolina.

Hundreds of Patriot Guard Riders and other volunteers formed a human wall around the Raeford Presbyterian Church to block the Westboro Baptist Church from picketing the service for 29-year-old Sgt. Donna Johnson, who was killed in Afghanistan.

Sgt. Johnson, who was reportedly gay, is survived by her wife Tracy Dice, reported ABC 11.

Hundreds more people lined the streets of downtown Raeford waving flags and holding signs.

One counter-protester rushed a Westboro member who was attempting to stomp on the American flag (video below).

No one was arrested in the bizarre confrontation.

Westboro claims the deaths of American soldiers are God's punishment for the nation's acceptance of gays.
