Sen. David Vitter Slams Obama for Bombing Khorasan Terrorists (Video)

| by Michael Allen

President Obama ordered the bombing of the Khorasan Group, a terrorist group, in Syria last night.

The U.S. military said in a statement today that the bombing was aimed at "training camps, an explosives and munitions production facility, a communication building and command and control facilities," noted CNN.

An unidentified senior U.S. official told CNN that the Khorasan Group was plotting an attack against the U.S. and was an "imminent" threat.

"Once again, it must be clear to anyone who would plot against America and try to do Americans harm that we will not tolerate safe havens for terrorists who threaten our people," President Obama said in a speech today.

However, President Obama's attack on the terrorists was criticized today by Sen. David Vitter (R-La.), who told Newsmax that President Obama might have lied about terror threat posed by the Khorasan Group, who are senior members of al Qaeda.

Sen. Vitter also claimed the bombing was done to help Democrats in the upcoming midterm elections, reported RightWingWatch.org (video below).

Sen. Vitter questioned whether there was any "imminent" threat and claimed that "lots of these things" in the "past" have been proven not to be true. Sen. Vitter mentioned the "prisoner swap," but didn't go into detail or explanation about what he meant.

“Are you afraid the administration cries wolf once too often in these situations?” Newsmax host J.D. Hayworth asked Sen. Vitter.

“Yes, particularly right before an election,” said Vitter.

Hayworth later asked Sen. Vitter why the Obama administration was offering "Illegals taxpayer- funded Obamacare."

The conservative myth that undocumented immigrants are eligible for Obamacare was debunked by MediaMatters.org back in March, but Sen. VItter recently revived it in The Washington Times.

"The Far Left and those elements in the Obama administration want to increase illegal flow into the United States with the eventual goal of making them citizens and voters and everything else," claimed Sen. Vitter.
