Sarah Palin Supports Waterboarding Torture During NRA Speech (Video)

Former half-term Alaska Governor and current Fox News personality Sarah Palin expressed her support for waterboarding, a form of torture, during a speech at the National Rifle Association's "Stand And Fight" rally on Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

"C'mon! Enemies who would utterly annihilate America, they would obviously have information on plots," said Palin, according to CBS News (video below).

"They carry out jihad," added Palin. "Oh, but you can’t offend them. Can’t make them feel uncomfortable, not even a smidgen. Well, if I were in charge, they would know that waterboarding is how we baptize terrorists."

Palin failed to mention that her own running mate from 2008, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), also opposes waterboarding, which he said did not to help find Osama Bin Laden, noted ABC News.

The self-proclaimed Christian also claimed the Obama administration's national security policy pokes "our allies in the eye, calling them adversaries, instead of putting the fear of God in our enemies"

The Hill reports that Palin said NRA members “are needed now more than ever, because every day we are seeing more and more efforts to strip away our Second Amendment rights,"

She also claimed "they" are trying to use gun control to control Americans.

"If you control oil, you control an economy. If you control money, you control commerce," stated Palin. "But if you control arms, you control the people, and that is what they're trying to do."
