Possible 2016 Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson believes there should not be any rules during wartime.

During an interview with Fox News on Feb. 16, Carson complained that people who didn't understand how the U.S. military works were mismanaging the military, noted RealClearPolitics.com (video below).

Carson didn't mention any specific people or examples, but added that he would send U.S. ground troops to fight the Islamic State group.

Later in the interview, Carson said there should not be any rules during war. This would violate the Geneva Conventions and legalize war crimes, reports Mediaite.com.

Carson also made the claim that soldiers were being told that they were doing something that was "politically incorrect,” but gave no examples.

"Our military needs to know that they’re not going be prosecuted when they come back, because somebody has said, 'You did something that was politically incorrect,'" said Carson. "There is no such thing as a politically correct war. We need to grow up, we need to mature. If you’re going to have rules for war, you should just have a rule that says no war. Other than that, you know, we have to win. Our life depends on it."
