Conservative radio host Laura Ingraham said on Monday that the U.S. should shut down all immigration from central Asia, which includes Dagestan, Chechnya and Kyrgyzstan (audio below), noted MediaMatters.org.
Ingraham recalled the 9/11 attacks and then asked: "How is it we give asylum to people from Islamic countries or Islamic territories who are claiming they are somehow deserved of this?"
She then discussed how the Boston bombing suspects came to the U.S. in 2002 as "tourists" with their parents.
“I would submit that people shouldn’t be coming here as tourists from Chechnya after 9/11,” said Ingraham. “Dagestan, Chechnya, Kyrgyzstan, uh-uh. As George Bush would say, ‘None of them stans.’”
