Donald Trump Suggests Loretta Fuddy's Death Part of Birther Conspiracy

| by Emily Smith

Real estate mogul Donald Trump reminded all of his birther views Thursday in a tweet about state Health Director of Hawaii Loretta Fuddy’s death.

In 2011, Fuddy authorized the release of President Barack Obama’s birth certificate.

On Wednesday, Fuddy was the sole fatality in the crash of small 9-passenger plane. The Makani Kai Air plane crashed into the ocean off the Hawaiian island of Molokai.

“How amazing, the State Health Director who verified copies of Obama’s ‘birth certificate’ died in plane crash today,” Trump, a long time doubter of Obama’s birthplace, tweeted.

A number of others in the birth movement have commented on Fuddy’s death, implying that the White House was trying to tie up loose ends and that the crash wasn’t an accident.

One commenter added that anyone associated with Obama or his background tends to have shortened life spans.

University of Florida law professor Mark Fenster, who studies conspiracy theorists, said the believers will search for any piece of evidence that upholds their theories. Each piece of news can bring new life to their ideas.
