Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina told CNN's Jake Tapper on Aug. 9 (video below) that fellow candidate Donald Trump's comments about Fox News debate co-host Megyn Kelly "were completely inappropriate and offensive."
"You know, you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes," Trump told CNN host Don Lemon on Aug. 7 about Kelly (video below). "Blood coming out of her wherever, but she was, in my opinion, she was off base."
"The point is, women understood that comment, and yes, it is offensive," Fiorina told CNN.
Later on Aug. 9, Trump fired back on Twitter: "I just realized that if you listen to Carly Fiorina for more than ten minutes straight, you develop a massive headache. She has zero chance!"
A new Reuters/Ipsos online poll released Aug. 10 found that 24 percent of Republican voters support Trump, which is the same as his polling before the first GOP debate on Aug. 6. In second place, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush dropped from 17 percent to 12.
