CNN Producer Jokes About Trump's Plane Crashing (Video)

| by Michael Allen

An unidentified CNN producer joked about President-elect Donald Trump's plane crashing while correspondent Suzanne Malveaux was waiting to go on the air from Indianapolis on Dec. 1 (video below).

The producer, who was off-camera, was prepping Malveaux about hand signals: "If I do this, it means he's landed ... That means his plane’s crashed, just kidding."

Malveaux appeared to be shocked by the joke, but regained her composure seconds later to give her report to CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin.

A CNN spokesperson told Politico Dec. 2: "An unfortunate and inappropriate remark was made by one of our producers off camera yesterday. We have apologized to the Trump transition team, and the producer has been disciplined."

Trump attacked what he called the "extremely dishonest press" for their coverage of the election during a post-victory rally in Cincinnati on Dec. 1 (video below).

Trump appeared to single out ABC News host Martha Raddatz for allegedly crying on Election Day, but ABC News told Mediaite.com: "This is ridiculous and untrue. Martha is tough and fair and not intimidated by anyone."

Raddatz tweeted on Nov. 10: "Thank you Brian. You are correct. It is FICTION that I was 'choked up.'"

Trump went on to say that he won by a "landslide." However, he is trailing Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton by over 2.5 million votes in the popular count as of Dec. 1, reports The New York Times.

"We didn't have the press," Trump told the audience. "The press was brutal."

That statement brought boos against the media.

Trump also complained about not getting support from Republican Gov. John Kasich of Ohio, but added that Kasich called him after the election, which brought more boos (against Kasich).

Trump claimed that the press said he did not have a path to the 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidency, which brought more howls against the media.
