Last week, conservative groups began running ads against Hillary Clinton for her role in what some Republicans believe to be a mass conspiracy involving the Sept. 11, 2011 attacks in Benghazi, Libya.

In a move that directly contradicts claims that the brouhaha surrounding what transpired isn't solely inspired by a desire to discredit Clinton as a viable 2016 Presidential candidate, the clips seem to jump at the opportunity to call the former Secretary of State’s credentials into question.

Appearing on Fox News Sunday yesterday, Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol bashed these sorts of ads – noting that they politicize what should simply be a legitimate investigation.

“There’s no campaign going on,” Kristol noted. “Let’s pull the partisanship back. It’s genuine outrage. There should be bipartisan committees investigating both from Congress. So I wish the Republicans would just be quiet for a while, the groups that are fund-raising, would be quiet on both issues for a while, and find out what really happened.”

You can check out Kristol’s entire take on this matter in the video below.
