Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson suggested that transgender people should have their own separate restrooms during an interview on Nov. 5 (video below).

Carson was asked by Fusion reporter Jorge Ramos about the defeat of the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance (HERO) and if transgender people should be allowed to choose the public bathrooms that they want to use.

“How about we have a transgender bathroom?” Carson answered.

Ramos asked the GOP candidate how that would work, and Carson replied:

It is not fair for them to make everybody else uncomfortable. It’s one of the things that I don’t particularly like about the movement. I think everybody has equal rights, but I’m not sure that anybody should have extra rights.

Extra rights when it comes to redefining everything for everybody else and imposing your view on everybody else.

The way that this country was designed, it was "live and let live," and that’s the way I feel. So, I feel that, gay people, they can do anything they want.

Ramos asked Carson if he was against gay marriage, and Carson confirmed that marriage "is between a man and a woman."

Carson was on the hot seat again on Nov. 5 after a book signing in Miami when a reporter told him that the alleged victims of his self-admitted violent childhood could not be found, notes Mediaite.com (video below).

“Well, why would you be able to find them?" Carson fired back. "What makes you think you would be able to find them, unless I tell you who they are? And if they come forward on their own because of your story that’s fine, but I’m not going to expose them.”
