Al Qaeda Magazine Gives Location Suggestions For Next Terror Attack
The latest issue of Al Qaeda’s magazine reportedly features information on where jihadists should be planning their next terror attacks in the United States.
According to reports, “Palestine-Betrayal of the Guilty Conscience Al-Malahem” is an online publication written in English and put out by Al Qaeda’s media unit. One article in the latest issue apparently features a step-by-step article on how to make car bombs and another features suggestions of places in the United States that would be good to target. The Middle Eastern Media Research Institute, or MEMRI, who first acknowledged the shocking publication, warns that it features a timeline of “select jihadi operations.”
“The timeline concludes with the date 201?’ and blank spaces and question marks for the photo and information of the next attack -- implying that it is coming soon,” said Steve Stalinksy, Executive Director at MEMRI. “Both AQAP and IS, as well as every other Al-Qaeda branch and offshoot is relying on U.S. social media companies including Twitter and YouTube for their cyber-Jihad efforts."
Some of the suggested targets for attacks include casinos and clubs in Las Vegas, Times Square in New York, the Georgia Military College, the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado and more.
“My Muslim brother, before you start reading the instructions, remember that this type of operation if prepared well and an appropriate target is chosen and Allah decrees success for you, history will never forget it,” reads one article that described how to make homemade bombs similar to those used by the Boston Marathon bombers. “It will be recorded as a crushing defeat on the enemies of Islam.”
