Video: Stacey Dash Defends her Support for Mitt Romney

| by Michael Allen

Actress Stacey Dash, who co-starred in the 1995 hit film 'Clueless,' appeared on Piers Morgan's CNN show tonight to discuss the recent controversy over her tweeting support for Mitt Romney on Twitter (video below).

Morgan said: “The idea that you as a black actress would come under such venomous attack purely for picking a candidate is extremely objectionable."

Dash, who claims she voted for President Obama in 2008, said she’s switched her vote because "I want the next four years to be different,” reports Mediaite.com.

Dash said of Mitt and Ann Romneys' interview on 'Meet the Press': "I believe him. They spoke to me. They seemed authentic and genuine. Do your homework, look at your country. I believe him. And I believe he deserves a shot.”

At one point, Dash even quoted Martin Luther King Jr. to defend Romney: “I chose him not by the color of his skin, but the content of his character."
