Video: Republicans Tell Mitt Romney to Release More Tax Returns, He Refuses

| by Michael Allen

Some Republicans are saying that GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney needs to release additional tax returns.

Additionally, President Obama's allies have been all over TV, demanding that Romney release more tax returns before 2010 and 2011 [which is forthcoming, but has not been released yet].

On Sunday, influential conservative commentator Bill Kristol called on Mitt Romney to release his tax returns on Monday (video below).

Kristol said: "Here’s what he should do. He should release the tax returns tomorrow. This is crazy… you’ve got to release 6, 8, 10 years of back tax returns. Take the hit for a day or two. Then give a serious speech on Thursday."

Robert Bentley, the  Republican Governor of Alabama, also called on Romney to release all the documents requested of him: “If you have things to hide, then maybe you’re doing things wrong. I think you ought to be willing to release everything to the American people.“

Mitt Romney appeared on 'Fox & Friends' on Monday morning to respond to the growing number of conservatives who are calling on him to release more of his tax returns.

However, Romney said the public will see just two years of returns and no more.

Romney said: "The Obama people keep on wanting more and more and more. More things to pick through, more things for their opposition research to try make a mountain out of and to distort and to be dishonest about. We’re going to put out two years of tax returns."
