Video: Mitt Romney Didn't Mention Afghan War at RNC Because He Wanted to Talk about "Important" Things

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney told Fox News on Friday that he did not mention the war in Afghanistan at the RNC because he thought it was better to "talk about the things you think are important,” reports RawStory.com.

Fox News host Bret Baier asked Romney: “We understand you went to the American Legion the day before and you talked about the service and sacrifice of the military there. Do you regret opening up this line of attack, now a recurring attack, by leaving out that issue in the speech?”

Romney answered: “I’m going to regret you repeating it day in and day out. Hahaha. No. When you give a speech, you don’t go through a laundry list, you talk about the things you think are important."
