Video: Michele Bachmann Talks About Her Favorite Gun, AR-15

On Thursday morning’s WHO-AM radio show in Iowa, Rep. Michele Bachmann talked about how she loved hunting and her favorite gun (video below).
“I went through gun safety when i was 12. My favorite is an AR-15. I scored the best of my class of any of the men, too,” the GOP presidential candidate gushed.
“That’s a combat weapon!” the WHO host replied, referring to the AR-15, which is the civilian version of the US Military’s go-to M-16.
“I like being accurate,” Bachmann said. “And that is a great gun.”

He said it was a .222, not her. Depending on what model/configuration of AR-15 she has it may be a very accurate rifle, More accurate than many others. It may also be in another caliber completely. 6x45, 6.5 Grendel, 6.8 spc and .300/.221 are all popular cartridges chabered in the AR-15. She did not say and by the way there is no reason that the .222 Remington cannot be a custom chamber in the AR. At any rate, it is good to see her concern for Second Amendment issues.
Hey, she’s a politician do you seriously expect her to know anything? :-)
And even if this is just to promote her agenda then good for me, she is drawing attention to the cause!
If she can get more women to stand up and fight for our second amendment rights, AWSOME!

The AR-15 is no more accurate than any other gun.
It's .223 not .222.
She doesn't even know the size of the magazine? This is another politician posing with guns. I don't doubt she's pro-Second Amendment, or even that she likes to shoot once in awhile. But she lacks knowledge, which indicates that at best, firearms are on the periphery of her life and more likely to be a campaign accoutrement than a cherished right.
What a patriot. I love this gal.
