In a video (below) produced by the United Steelworkers and uploaded to YouTube, U.S. veteran Gil Paar, of Racine, Wisconsin, explains how he can't use his veteran identification card to vote.
Wisconsin’s voter ID law, which was passed by the Republican-led state legislature last year, requires voters to present a state-issued photo ID when they cast ballots; other photo IDs, such as college ID cards and veteran ID cards, cannot be used.
Popular VideoCongress just passed a drug testing law that has a lot of people outraged. Do you think this is wrong?
Paar said: “I can use it anywhere in the United States at a V.A. hospital. It is good enough for everything else, but it amazes me that it is not good enough to use as identification to vote. It pissed me off.”
