Former player and current NBA analyst Charles Barkley gave an impromptu op/ed on the prospects of GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney during TNT’s broadcast of the Celtics-Hawks playoff game last weekend.
The camera panned over to Mitt Romney in the audience during a lull in the action and the Round Mound of Rebound let loose with a few choice words.
"Mitt Romney, hey, listen man, we're going to beat you like a drum in November. Don't take it personally. You seem like a nice guy, but you're going down, bro.”

This isn’t the first time Barkley has weighed in on the politics of the day. The Round Mound of Rebound actually considered running for governor in his home state of Alabama in 1995. At the time, Barkley was a registered Republican but he’s since switched teams and actively campaigned for President Obama during the last round in 2008.
