Tea Party Billboard Compares President Obama to Osama Bin Laden

| by Michael Allen

A billboard from Tea Party group called 'We The People of Marshall and Fulton Counties' compares President Obama to Osama Bin Laden, in Elkhart, Indiana.

The billboard reads: "The Navy Seals removed one threat to America. The voters must remove the other," reports the South Bend Tribune.

Don Nunemaker, of the Tea Party group, told the South Bend Tribune that the billboard will stay up until Nov. 1.

Elkhart County's Republican Party Chairman Dale Stickel said:  "I am very unhappy with the ad, some may find it humorous, I do not. It can be read very negatively and at best it is in very bad taste. It is counterproductive to the goals of the people who placed it and further lower the bar on an already negative campaign."

Dwight Fish from the Elkhart County Democratic Party added: "It's sad the group has to resort to this. It's appalling and a shame."

A small group of protesters in Elkhart, Indiana gathered near a tea party billboard on Monday. The demonstration was organized by the Elkhart County Democrats, Occupy Elkhart activists and Indiana Senate candidate Jim Ball (D), according to The Elkhart Truth.
