Stephen Colbert Not Running for Prez; Defends Mitt Romney Ad

Stephen Colbert said on Sunday that he is not running for president, despite talk last week that he was going to mount a late run.

Colbert fueled the speculation himself on his show when he turned operations of his Super Pac over to his pal Jon Stewart, and joked that he may run for “President of the United States of South Carolina."

But appearing on ABC's "This Week," Colbert said he is not running. He also defended his anti-Mitt Romney campaign ad is which he labels Romney a "serial killer."

“I had nothing to do with that ad... I am not calling anyone a serial killer,” he claimed.
