Sen. Mike Lee Compares Obama Recess Appointments to Pearl Harbor

Tea Party Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) promised to exact revenge for President Obama’s decision to appoint four officials during the Senate's recess, by obstructing each of the president’s nominees.

As part of his revenge, Sen. Lee recently compared President Obama’s decision to the unprovoked attack that killed 2,402 Americans and thrust America into World War II.

Sen. Lee tweeted “a day that will live on in infamy,” a nearly a word for word transcription of the opening line in President Franklin Roosevelt’s speech describing the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in December of 1941.
