Secret Audio: Mitt and Ann Romney Bash President Obama at Private Fundraiser

I distrust Romney's ideological conviction. I distrust Republican theory altogether, as it has a poor track record of success. On the other hand, although the economy is still struggling, and it seems we need instant results in order to be satisfied, there is an improvement trend, which to me says Obama's methods are working. They aren't working fast enough for most of us, but I think they are at least reversed from when Obama took over from Bush. I also blame an obstructionist Congress, which I see as sacrificing the good of the country for unproven ideas like Norquist's no tax pledge, trickle down, and tax breaks for the supposed "job creators" who have had since 2003 to prove these tax breaks actually create jobs, but have done everything but.

Romney is out of touch. A corporate CEO should not be President, they are two entirely different jobs. Your grandmother and your baby, for instance, are not profitable. There is no place for most people in a corporation, because the 47% that Romney has contempt for are really losses, not gains. According to the Romney Principle, most of us, especially most of the people supporting him, would be fired.

What I find interesting is that people on the Secret audio Mitt and Ann Romney blog, who attacked Obama and his administration, are predictably not here. Where are Racefish, surfer dude, EO9835, Stranger and Nick Barton??? It's clear that when republicans act like asses, republicans who talk tough on these blogs, go run and high. When I read all of their posts on the other thread, not one of them was telling the truth. One said that only 800K were created. LIE. Another said, that basically everyone in the business community is upset. WHY? Because they're making record profits and sitting on over $2 trillion!!!!!!!!! One even had the audacity to forward readers to a FAR RIGHT, extraordinarily!! radical ultra-conservative rag in the American Thinker. As a republican, I challenged the owner and webmaster of that site, and he backed down because he couldn't take the heat that the far racist, radical, unpatriotic right is setting themselves up to be the permanent minority party by all the hate they spew. Republicans, left and right are leaving the party. Mike Smerconish. Olympia Snowe are just two but as republicansforobama.org illustrates, there are republicans out here that don't buy into the racist, over the top, two-faced, hypocritical, bullshit, that the party is slinging. Not one of these guys talks about how the GOP started shipping jobs overseas WAY before Obama was a US Senator. I know because I wrote my thesis on it in grad school. Proof? Why won't American companies release the number of jobs overseas??? They won't. They been asked and it's almost gotten to the point of having to use a court order to get it. However, we know. As of 2010, American corporations have sent more 3 million jobs oversea. If any other these were in the military and lived abroad: THEY'D KNOW THAT!!!!!!!

When **some** republicans don't do their homework, they make themselves look bad, as well as the entire party. Every 3.5 years, 3% of republican white males die. Couple that with the fact that the party is aggressively and decisively purifying itself from the likes of Snowe, Collins, McCain, and Chafee. In effect, they are turning themselves into the permanent minority party. But alienating minority groups, and constantly using race as a divisive issue, the Democratic Party, as created an big tent for everyone. Please do not bother with "It's the Democrats who are racist!" Spare me jerkwads. We all know that the party uses race to unify the base and I'm sick of it. Let's face it: The GOP is racist and ALL republicans know it. Build a fuckin' bridge and get over it. If the GOP was so grand, Paul Weyrick, would not have said " "We have to stop the movement of all our manufacturing to China and other foreign countries. And the most damning thing he said was this:

To this end, he is admitting that the GOP should do whatever it needs to do suppress voters. THAT IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL. But let someone go NEAR the 2nd Amendment, and some republicans are up in arms. Pathetic. Republicans want their cake and eat it too......

I'm as liberal/progressive (at least on most stuff) as one gets. I worked and voted for Obama in 2008, and I'm doing the same in 2012. When Obama was elected in 2008, I literally wept with joy. If Romney is elected in 2012, I will weep in sadness. I wanted to make that all clear to give what I write next some perspective.

I, personally, didn't hear anything in those recordings that I find indicative of the Romneys' contempt, per se, for President Obama. Romney, in fact, even called him "President Obama," and not just "Obama." Every word from Romney's mouth, and that of his wife's, in those recordings is expected rhetoric from a political candidate and his wife at a fundraiser in a room full of supporters. In fact, I can see the Romneys saying those things publicly without too much of a problem... or at least not much surprise.

I may not AGREE with what they said, but that they said it is to be expected; and nothing about what they said surprised at least me. I'm having trouble, then, figuring out what is the problem. Maybe I'm missing something.

...I guess I can now at least a LITTLE better understand what is all uproar over what the Romneys said; but, even then, such rhetoric is common during campaigns, and I just don't think it's that big a deal. Yes, of course I wish they hadn't said it, but thankgod we live in a country where they can, right? I mean, count our blessings, right? C'mon.

I'll tell you another reason why I'm glad I went and dug-up that article, though, and that's so I could see that the David Horowitz at whose home the fundraiser was held was not the ultra-conservative, lying, uber-Zionist dirtbag who publishes the virulent "FrontPage Magazine" and all its muslim-hating offshoots.
