On Tuesday night, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) appeared on GBTV’s 'Real News From The Blaze' to attack government mandated insurance coverage for contraception, which she claimed could lead to the "health care dictator" limiting the number of babies born per family.
Rep. Bachmann said: “Going with that logic, it isn’t far-fetched to think the President of the United States could say…we need to save health care expenses…the federal government will only pay for one baby to be born in the hospital per family. Or two babies to be born per family. That could happen.”
Popular VideoPeople were so furious about this Pepsi ad that Pepsi pulled it after just one day. Watch it here and decide if it's offensive:
Bachmann claimed that if the president can “unilaterally” tell insurance companies to provide services, such as contraceptives and sterilizations, then “the health care dictator could conceivably make that order as well.”
“I’m not saying he’s going to do it. I’m saying he has the power and authority to do it.”
