Poll: 49 percent of Republicans Believe ACORN, Disbanded in 2010, Stole the 2012 Election for Obama
According to a survey by Public Policy Polling, released on Tuesday, 49 percent of Republicans believe that the disbanded community organizing group ACORN somehow stole the 2012 election for President Obama.
However, ACORN (The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) filed for bankruptcy and disbanded in 2010, reports TheAtlanticWire.com.
ACORN's demise occurred when conservative media prankster James O’Keefe recorded and released intentionally misleading videos that claimed to show ACORN employees instructing how to force young women into prostitution.
Following the videos, John Boehner (R-OH) sponsored a bill in 2009 to pull all government funding of the group, which led to its collapse in 2010.
The poll also revealed that 25 percent of Republicans no longer want to be American and would rather their state to secede from the U.S. than be under President Obama.

I have some Right-wing
I have some Right-wing religious friends & relatives, so it surprises me that ONLY 49% of Republicans believe a disbanded political group effected the 2012 election. Have you read some of these insane conspiracy theories on websites like Liberty Roundtable? Have you heard the psychotic rants on conservative talk-radio shows. Half of registered Republicans aren't living in today's reality. They think by isolating themselves among like-minded people they can pretend they are still living in a white-bread, Caucasian, all Christian America. They seem perfectly able to delude themselves most of the time. At least until they have to communicate with someone outside their insulated bubble. Like most liberals, I'd rather not wake people from their daydreams if they aren't harming themselves or others, but as all America learned from the 2012 RNC platform, these people do want to harm others. Many of them just do not realize how many people they would harm if their policies were enacted, so it is time for them to wake up the 21st century USA. This country didn't change overnight. Republicans just slept through the last hundred years. They have no one to blame for their rude awakening but themselves.
It's typical of this Right-wing extremist minority to believe they should be able to force the other 75% of their State's population into seceding from the United States. Publicizing their whining only encourages them. We should be united in encouraging Conservatives to leave the country. They are only going to become a smaller & smaller minority group here. If they cannot assimilate, they are never going to be happy here.

God forbid they admit they
God forbid they admit they are out of touch with their own party and citizens of America.
This tells me that 49% of
This tells me that 49% of Republicans should be required to take current events testing as a prerequisite for voting in this country. What a bunch of lowest common denominator imbeciles they are. It is a genuine disgrace to our education system that these people cannot even discern between fact and fiction. Everything is fine and dandy in Lalaland. Gott in Himmel.
