Former VP Dick Cheney, Who Ignored 9/11 Briefings, Scolds Pres. Obama for not Participating in Briefings

Former Vice President Dick Cheney, on Monday, attacked President Obama for not paying attention to the same daily intelligence briefings that warned President George W. Bush and Vice President Cheney that Osama bin Laden was “determined to strike in the U.S.”

Recently the Government Accountability Institute, a new conservative investigative research organization, claimed that President Obama attended less than half of his Presidential Daily Briefs (PDB), meetings at which he is briefed on the most critical intelligence threats to the country.

National Security Council spokesperson Tommy Vietor told the Washington Post that President Obama preferred to read the intelligence briefings.

Cheney told The Daily Caller in an email: “If President Obama were participating in his intelligence briefings on a regular basis then perhaps he would understand why people are so offended at his efforts to take sole credit for the killing of Osama bin Laden."

The New York Times reported today that the Bush White House ignored multiple CIA briefings, between May and August of 2001, which warned of an imminent a terrorist attack from Osama bin Laden.
