A police officer who served -- or should we say formally served -- in President Barack Obama's motorcade has threatened to shoot First Lady Michelle Obama.
The officer allegedly told fellow officers about his desire to kill the First Lady and then showed them the weapon he'd use to carry out the atrocious crime. According to the Washington Post, the officers who witnessed the threats quickly reported it to the U.S. Secret Service.
The name of the officer in question has yet to be revealed.
Ed Donovan, a spokesman of the Secret Service, comforted worried colleagues by stating, "we are aware of the incident and we're taking appropriate follow-up steps."
While the investigation is taking place, the officer has been assigned to desk duty.
According to reports, the threat did not present an immediate danger to the First Lady.
