'Birther' Event Canceled Due to Low Ticket Sales

The biggest 'birther' event of the year, scheduled for later this month in Phoenix, Arizona, was canceled because of “due to inadequate ticket sales,” reports the Phoenix New Times.

The 'Sheriff Joe Event' was to include Pat Boone, Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio and former Army Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin, who refused to go to Afghanistan because he said he didn’t believe Pres. Obama was in office legitimately.

The Sept. 22 event was meant to bring together people who believe Pres. Obama’s birth certificate is fake and he is ineligible to be president.

Organizers planned to use the event to tell Congress to take up Arpaio’s yearlong investigation into the so-called "fake birth certificate" of President Obama.
