While Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney pounds President Obama, almost daily, for unemployment figures, the former Massachusetts Governor was saying quite a different line during the presidency of George W. Bush.
In a 2004 video (below), found by the SuperPAC American Bridge and reposted by Mediaite.com, Romney defended President George W. Bush‘s poor economic record in 2004.

Romney said: “The people of America recognize that the slowdown in jobs that occurred during the early years of the Bush administration were the result of a perfect storm. And an effort by one candidate to somehow say ‘Oh, this recession and the slowdown in jobs was the result of somehow this president magically being elected…’ people in America just dismiss that as being poppycock. And they recognize it as that.”
Amazingly, Romney blamed the internet bubble for the bad economy under President Bush: “They also recognize that the internet bubble burst. These things came together creating a perfect storm that meant a huge job loss.”
