Planned Parenthood's "Twisted" Mother's Day Gift: Abortion Donation

No one has ever accused Planned Parenthood of having good taste. And their Mother's Day promotion proved it. If you didn't know what to get your mom on May 9, America's biggest abortion provider has an idea: Help her make more women childless! In a twisted email to supporters, Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards asks people to celebrate motherhood by giving to a business that destroys it. "It's almost Mother's Day..." she writes, "and if you have a mother in your life who's anything like me... then you know nothing would make her happier than a gift that represents bold and compassionate values. Like a gift in her honor to Planned Parenthood."

That's like asking people to celebrate Arbor Day by burning down a forest! Because of Planned Parenthood, tens of millions of women can't celebrate Mother's Day. While the abortion industry tries to capitalize on Sunday, FRC is using it as an opportunity to honor the women who have risen to the challenge of motherhood and accepted the responsibilities of this high calling. In many cases, those moms had the support of a pregnancy resource center (PRC). For more than 40 years, the PRC movement--driven almost entirely by volunteers--has changed the hearts of millions of women. Read their untold story in FRC's A Passion to Serve, A Vision for Life. And to all the moms out there, thanks for all you've done to raise men and women worthy of respect! Happy Mother's Day!

Science vs Superstition

First trimester abortion and contraception are legal in countries who base policy on science instead of superstition.

The name family research counsel is misleading since they are driven by superstition (the religious- wrong ), not scientific research.

Just not sure

how to interpret 'family'.

The Mob, the Mafia, they are known as "Cosa Nostra" ...... makes you wonder exactly how to take FRC.

Can this really be the Family Research Council

acting in regard to a real family issue? I dont think I can remember the last family issue they addressed. In the past it has all been political. In fact I thought for sure they were a registered political party.

Comgratulations Tony, after about 50 misses you hit the right nail.

It is funny.

When I read the OP, the first thing I thought was: I bet bhall will talk about how FRC finally got on point. :)

You know I think I spend too much

energy and emotion on FRC. In fact a few days ago, I just decided that I would just stop reading FRC posts. The comments I make do not do anything for anybody. But then I feel like I am a quiter if I just ignore it. My ex used to tell me that I could not read the newspaper because all it did was make me mad. He may have a valid point.

Iunno...

One could point out that after taking FRC to task for a few months, they refocused their commentary on matters actually involving families.

You could claim a victory based on this anecdotal evidence. =)
