Paul Helmke - "Lunatic Killers Prove Need for Stronger Gun Laws"
WASHINGTON --- Paul Helmke, President of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, issued the following statement in the wake of the tragic shooting at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum:
“Back in April, a disturbed Pittsburgh man killed three police officers because he thought President Obama was going to take his guns. Yesterday [Thursday], a bigot took the life of a museum security guard because he thought the Government was coming to take his weapons. We can only wish that their guns had been taken away.
“I have to believe most Americans think that a man who spent time in prison for trying to assault the Federal Reserve Building and spread as much hate as this man did, who left a note saying ‘Jews captured America’s money’ and ‘Jews… are America’s enemies’ should indeed have had his guns taken away. Maybe then Stephen T. Johns’ wife wouldn’t be a widow, and his son wouldn’t be without a father.
“This man was a walking poster child for why we must make it harder for dangerous people to have guns. President Obama and Congress need to take action about radical extremist hate crimes and gun violence, instead of avoiding the subject.”

Come on Paul, tell the truth. Just once be honest with the folks. You don't care about stopping crime . You don't care about protecting women from rape, robbery or murder . You only care about increasing laws against the private ownership of ALL guns until they are finally outlawed. That's your end game. Be honest about it and you'd get more respect.
Just to show how up front I am, I'll debate you anywhere, anytime. You know how to reach me. Just be fair and make it a public forum where everyone can attend.

...because lunatic killers thoroughly review all federal, state, and local statues before going on killing sprees to ensure that they only murder within the strict confines of the law .
Drug dealers, armed robbers, burglars, and other manner of thugs do the same. As a matter of fact, if the the folks at Brady have their way, and all of our guns are taken away, that crack dealer on the corner will no doubt be first in line to turn in his gun. And then we'll ALL be safer.
It's a good thing we have these folks looking out for our safety. Pass all the gun control laws now so we can live in the same fantasy world in which these folks live.
Paul Helmke, et.al., rise up to capitalize on violence. Are we surprised? The Brady Bunch, in it never-ending effort to avoid irrelevance, feeds on victims of what they would not have.
gun control: the belief that a woman raped and strangled with her own hose is morally superior to one who defends herself with a firearm.
This can't be! It must be a mistake! A mistake!?... But... That museum... it was... *gasp*! A GUN-FREE ZONE!!!...
Now this horrible act of hatred, bigotry, and just plain craziness is being used to try to take away my rights again. What that old man did was horrible and I feel nothing but compassion and condolence for the security guards family, but it only takes a reasonable mind to come to the realization that a law -abiding citizen (even if he was on the job) used a gun to save other peoples' lives from a criminal with a gun.
How many times must this happen before gun-control advocates realize that guns SAVE lives more often than they TAKE lives?
I feel that ignorance and the bliss that ensues will keep that answer from us reasonable people for a very long time.
