Marc Jacobs lies on a silver Mylar bed, wearing nothing but a coat of body oil and a strategically placed perfume bottle, in the print ads for Bang, his latest men's fragrance. "We tried [the ad] with clothes, but it didn't work," Jacobs said. "Then Juergen [Teller, the photographer on the ad shoot] had the idea for the silver Mylar, and it all came together."
Jacobs has had difficulty keeping his clothes on since 2007, when he dramatically overhauled his body. To achieve his current trim, buff physique, he cut out flour, sugar, dairy and caffeine, and worked out for two and a half hours a day, seven days a week. He appeared nude in the December 2008 issue of Harper's Bazaar, with a pink and black Louis Vuitton bag taking the perfume bottle's spot.

The racy Bang ad will not be shown in the Middle East; it'll be replaced by a shot of the perfume bottle. In the Midwest, the image will be cropped at Jacobs' shoulders. Guess he's just too much man for the flyover states.
