Actor Mel Gibson and ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva have both taken out restraining orders against each other. Grigorieva went to court last Monday to obtain her order against Gibson, while Gibson's paperwork regarding Grigorieva was filed Thursday.
Russian singer Grigorieva is said to have alleged Gibson was violent toward her in January. An unidentified source told gossip site TMZ that after the alleged incidents took place, Grigorieva traveled the world with Gibson, making her accusations of domestic abuse highly unlikely.
The source said, "In these cases, when somebody cries wolf, the judge is mandated to assume there's a wolf, until a full hearing can be held."
The day after Grigorieva filed her restraining order, Gibson went to court to have it modified. The paperwork is sealed, but sources say the modification had to do with Gibson's rights to see Lucia, his 7-month-old daughter with Grigorieva. Then, on Thursday, he filed his own restraining order, which sources say is also connected to his visitation rights.
