Everyone knows how much teens love their cell phones, but one British teenager proved she'd go the extra mile to rescue her BlackBerry, which she dropped in a storm drain in Dover, U.K.

“I thought to myself, ‘I’m not leaving this’ and I jumped down to get it," Ella Birchenough,16, told The Guardian. "I wasn’t really even stuck, I just needed somebody to help lift me out but my mum got all panicky.”

Birchenough got stuck in the drain halfway while bystanders took pictures, which they posted on Twitter.

Fortunately, some local firefighters were able to pull the teen out unscathed, but her precious phone was broken, notes Gawker.

"When they pulled me out I ran straight home and jumped in the bath," added Birchenough. "I think it was just water, but I wasn't taking any chances."
