Philadelphia mother Honey Love allegedly armed her 11-year-old son with two knives in order to settle a score with a 16-year-old who she claimed sexually assaulted her 12-year-old daughter.

Love, 35, is accused of using a group of six people, including three of her own children, to seek vigilante justice.

The Upper Darby mother told police her 16-year-old target was spotted in her daughter’s bedroom standing over the girl with his pants and shorts pulled down. The boy allegedly tried to kiss and hug the 12-year-old. When she rejected his advances, she ended up on the floor, Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said Tuesday.

Once there, Chitwood said the teen pulled down his pants and underwear. Her 11-year-old brother walked in on the incident, and the 16-year-old ran off.

Love then gathered an armed group to go to the teen’s house on Avon Road, near Madeira, police said. Her 11-year-old carried both an 8-inch and a 4-inch steak knife.

"Mom took the gang and was going to kick some ass, or cut some ass, one or the other," Chitwood said.

When they arrived at the teen’s house, all seven in Love’s mob entered the home, occupied by the 16-year-old, his father and his two brothers.

"Then Honey takes one of the knives from her 11-year-old and starts swinging it around," Chitwood said.

Police arrived before mob justice took place. No injuries were reported.

Love, her son and the 16-year-old were taken into custody Monday. She and her son face charges of assault.

The 16-year-old assailant was charged with attempted rape, sexual assault and related crimes.
