A female driver from Lakeland, Fla. was recently tailgated by an angry pickup truck driver during her trip to Tampa.
She posted a video (below) of the incident and the angry driver's unexpected crash into a pole right after he flipped her off and passed her on the rainy road.
"It was my instinct to just grab my phone and start recording," the unidentified woman told WTSP. "I saw the guy in the truck get behind me… he was tailgating me, and I was getting a little nervous."
"He flicks the bird! He swerves into oncoming traffic, and I was like, 'Oh, my God!'" added the woman. "Honestly, looking back, I feel kind of bad for laughing. But at the same time, it's kind of funny."
The driver of the black truck was identified as Jeffrey White, reports The Huffington Post. Police arrested him for leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving and not wearing a seatbelt.
Since March 26, this video has garnered over 5 million views.
While most people have been supportive, the female driver has also been attacked online for laughing (in the video) at the tailgater's car crash.
The female driver writes on her YouTube page:
While I'm completely humbled at how fast the internet has taken and run with this, it's quite scary. The comments, while most being funny and witty, some are hateful, vengeful, and heartbreaking. I would NEVER wish death upon anyone. I can't comprehend what would make a person say that to someone. It's nearly brought me to tears. I'm a very sensitive soul.
