Don’t miss this amazing workshop with Alanna Kaivalya and Dave Stringer at Pure Yoga NYC on Tuesday, April 26th – a perfect way to spend the evening!

All the details below from the studio website:

A very special opportunity to join Jivamukti enchantress Alanna Kaivalya and Kirtan maestro Dave Stringer for a juicy asana class set to live magical mantras. The duo will create an unforgettable experience combining the yoga of asana and the yoga of sound in their only North American appearance together this year. Dave Stringer‘s sound marries the transcendent mysticism of traditional Indian instruments with the exuberant, groove-oriented sound of American gospel. Initially trained as a visual artist and jazz musician, Dave first started chanting mantras when a film editing project brought him to the ashram of Swami Muktananda in India. His work intends to create a modern and participatory theatrical art form, connecting science and yoga, open to a multiplicity of interpretations, and accessible to all.

Alanna has traveled the world and contributed to many teacher trainings (Radiantly Alive, Flow Yoga, Jivamukti Yoga) as well as taught at conferences (Yoga Journal, Telluride Yoga Festival) and offered workshops in at least 9 countries and countless destinations therein. Yoga Journal has named Alanna as one of the top 21 instructors under age 40 in the nation, and she has been featured on, and in Body + Soul Magazine. Her podcast, which started in 2005 has been heard by over one million people worldwide.
