We all know that Easter is a time of indulging. Whether it’s a big family meal with ham and all the fixings or an Easter egg hunt in the backyard with little chocolate eggs, the calories can add up fast. And with all of the new sweet treats on the market that are just begging to go in your Easter basket? Holy moley! Temptation is everywhere, and food companies are making bigger and sweeter treats to entice you to get your Easter-candy fix. Below is a list of five Easter candies in 2011 that are definitely worth “hopping” right over!

5 Sweet Treats to Avoid This Easter

1. Hershey’s Hollow Milk Chocolate Egg. This one looks innocent enough, but one of these hollow eggs has more than three times as many calories as the Easter-candy favorite (and my personal weakness) the Cadbury Creme Egg. At just less than 5 ounces, the shell alone has 570 calories. Factor in the four Hershey’s Kisses inside and you’re up to 660 calories and—wait for it—a whopping 41 grams of fat.
