No Fox News for Canada
They don't allow liars to broadcast the News.
Fox News will not be able to set up shop north of the border. Canada's conservative PM, Stephen Harper, tried to get the pesky "truth in journalism" law repealed, but was unsuccessful.
Canada's Radio Act requires that "a licenser may not broadcast....any false or misleading news."
To bad we don't have such a law in the USA.
We use to have a law, but thanks to Ronald Reagan and his fellow Liars we don't anymore.
Formally adopted as an FCC rule in 1949 and repealed in 1987 by Ronald Reagan’s pro-broadcaster FCC, the doctrine can be traced back to the early days of broadcast regulation.
We need a Fairness Doctrine, a mechanism to address the most extreme kinds of broadcast abuse.

Ah, so, opinion over facts. Typical from those who still think it is clever to uses hack phrases like “Faux News,” then titter away like imbeciles. Free press means that – free to irritate the bejeezus out of people who would use the power of the state to suppress facts and opinions they do not approve. Tough crap.
Talk about being wrong. Fox is broadcast, albeit on digital cable, throughout Canada. As well, SunTV (an actual, honest-to-goodness rightwing network) will be up and running north of the border in mere months.

Hate to break the news to ya...but FOX has been broadcasting on Canadian Sat for years now...Chan 503 on Star Choice...
So...if Canada doesn't allow stations that lie to broadcast and it allows FOX to broadcast does it then follow that FOX does not lie??

FOX News USA is distributed on Canadian satellites and has a very large following....that is basically what I meant by no FOX in Canada...but Canada DOES retransmit FOX on Sats...

Yes, it is FOX USA 100% word for word...there is no FOX Canada that I am aware of, however Sun News is about to go on line in Canada and though they have no affiliation with FOX USA, they are often called FOX News North....
P.S. I don't believe what I want...I only look up, verify and believe fact...as far as fake news on FOX, I'll let that slide...seems RFK Jr. has the more FAKE news today....
