New Report Says Spanking Can Create Defiant Children

Spanking can create defiant children, according to a new report.

Elizabeth Gershoff, PhD, from the University of Michigan School of Social Work, led the research which recommends a hands-off approach to child discipline. She recently appeared on Fox & Friends to discuss her findings.

Also contributing to the dialogue is Peter Sprigg from the Family Research Council, who disputes Gershoff's conclusions.
