College Basketball: Negus Webster-Chan Commits to Louisville

| by

According to basketball recruiting guru Evan Daniels, Negus Webster-Chan, a top 50 prospect in the 2012 class, verbally committed to the Cardinals today. Webster-Chan has definitely been very interested in Louisville for some time and has visited twice already.

Rick Pitino saw Negus play last night and officially offered him a scholarship. Most predicted once the offer was there, Webster-Chan’s commitment would follow. It certainly turned out to be the case.

Negus is 6-7 forward who can play a variety of positions. He plays at the same school that produced current Cardinal Gorgui Dieng. With Webster-Chan in the fold and the Cards set to probably take only three in the 2012 class, their class is nearly complete.

After a stellar 2011 class, the Cards are poised to land a monster 2012 class, despite being small in numbers. They already landed top point guard Rodney Purvis a couple weeks back.

Next name to watch, Ricardo Ledo, one of the top shooting guard in the 2012 class.
