NASA Global Warming Satellite Fails To Launch, Lands in Ocean

| by DeepDiveAdmin

A rocket carrying a NASA global warming satellite landed in the
ocean near Antarctica after an early morning launch failure Tuesday.

The satellite was intended to track carbon dioxide levels in the Earth's atmosphere, but could not remain airborne due to the added weight of a clamshell nose cone that failed to separate from the satellite during takeoff.

In the following video, a spokesman for NASA explains precisely why the satellite was unable to make orbit.
