A Muslim teenager in the Ukraine was stoned to death for appearing in a beauty pageant -- her "punishment" for apparently violating the laws of Islam.
According to a report in the New York Daily News, it was fellow teenagers, not Muslims elders, who were outraged over 19-year-old Katya Koren's appearance in the pageant.

British newspaper reports say three teenagers targeted Katya after she finished in seventh place in the pageant. One of the suspects, identified as 16-year-old Bihal Gaziev, told police that he had no regrets about the stoning because Katya "violated the laws of Sharia."
Katya was missing for a week before her body was found over the weekend buried in the forest near her village.
