Mother of Teenage Pirate Begs Obama for Mercy

Somalian teenager Abdhul Wali-i-Musi, the only pirate to survive the rescue of kidnapped U.S. captain Richard Phillips, arrived in New York City today to face criminal charges for his role in the hostage situation. Ahead of his arraignment, Wali-i-Musi's mother released a recorded plea to President Obama asking for leniency, claiming that her son is only 16-years-old and that he was coerced into joining the pirates.
