NBA: Hornets Paul Needs More Concussion Tests

| by Off The Record

When we first read this headline (the one that we just wrote ourselves), we got confused. Ron Paul had a concussion? How did that happen? Or were we lucky enough that it was his son Rand? Nope, when we dug deeper into our own work, we saw that it was actually Chris Paul, the guard for the New Orleans Hornets.

The more we thought about it, the more it made sense.

CP3 has been out all week with a concussion. He collided with the shoulder of Cleveland Cavaliers guard Ramon Sessions on Sunday and got his bell rung. He missed Monday’s game against the Chicago Bulls, and it seems like they aren’t in a hurry to rush him back.

Hornets officials are now saying that Paul will undergo more concussion tests. Jarrett Jack started in his place Monday (dropped 23 points) and they’ve got D-leaguer Jerel McNeal on a 10-day contract, so they clearly aren’t rushing Paul in his return.
