Video: NYPD Rip Down Paper Hearts Created by Kids

| by Michael Allen

In New York City, an anti-bullying march by Parents for Occupy Wall Street and their children met in Union Square Park on Saturday, December 10th (The International Day of Human Rights) to create 5,000 paper hearts to be delivered to New York City Mayor Bloomberg.

Each paper heart represented an Occupy protester that has been arrested.

The parents marched down to City Hall with their children to deliver paper hearts, but were not allowed onto the steps of City Hall due to renovations.

The parents and kids then taped the hearts onto the gates in front. Moments later NYPD tore down the children’s artwork (at the 3:20 mark on the video below).
