Author Naomi Wolf was arrested last night outside the Huffington Post’s 'Game Changers' awards ceremony (video below) while she marched with about 150 members of Occupy Wall Street to protest New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s refusal to raise taxes on the wealthy.
Cuomo, who was being honored by the Huffington Post for supporting same sex marriage in New York, has recently been criticized for pushing back against a tax on millionaires, which is supported by a large majority of New York voters.
Wolf, a frequent Huffington Post contributor, showed up last night to make sure the press understood how offensive the protesters find this. Wolf also said she was not breaking the law: “I was completely complying with the law and the permit as it was described to me by police and I was arrested for standing lawfully on the sidewalk."
