The Casa Di Amici Condo association only allows sales of condos to couples who are husband and wife, or single people.

Couples who are not married, regardless of their gender or sexual orientation, are not allowed to move in. According to the condo association, those folks are "living in sin."

“I could not believe what I was reading. It basically says you have to be either a single person or a husband and wife to purchase a unit here,” realtor Julia Nowak told WTSP-TV (video below).

Nowak, who is gay, rents her condo to her parents.

The Casa Di Amici Condo community is in unincorporated Sarasota County, Florida, which does not have any discrimination laws regarding housing for couples.

“To me, this is discriminatory, but there’s nothing illegal or contrary to federal, state or local ordinances," said Mary Greenwood, an attorney from the Brandon Law Center.
