Black Friday won't happen for more than a week, but some shoppers are so desperate for bargains that they have already camped outside a Best Buy store in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
On Monday, Jim Alooh set up his tent, which includes: a bed, microwave, TV and heaters.
“It’s cold, it’s windy, and sometimes it rains and snows, so you have to be careful and make sure you stay warm,” Allooh told Fox 8.
Alooh has done this bizarre ritual for the past 3 years, but his tent "neighbor" Tony Avitar has camped for 11 years.
“I think it was the second year I did it," said Avitar. "Nobody had the bright idea of camping out in tents. So, we just did sleeping bags on the sidewalk, and it was freezing rain for sixteen hours."
Even though Best Buy has only released part of its Black Friday bargain list, the store's manager welcomes the campers.
USA Today interviewed some of the shoppers outside the store (video below).
"To be honest it's usually about the same people that line up early every year," said a male shopper wearing a stuffed animal hat. "People keep asking, 'What are you trying to buy? What are you trying to buy?' Honestly, nothing."
"I don't even want to buy anything," added one woman. "I just wanted to hang out with everyone."
