Justin Timberlake Has Some Regrets about His Boy Band Days

| by

The former N*Sync crooner is still a young man, though his career has already had several successful acts. In a recent interview with Details magazine, Justin Timberlake expresses a few regrets from his early years with the prominent 90s boy band.

“There were many moments in my teenage years where I succumbed to, um, the weirdness of the group I was in,” says Timberlake in an interview set to appear in the May issue. “And in trying to conform – we’re marionettes! – I ended up looking like a moron.”

The Social Network actor cites specifically the silly hairstyles and over-the-top costumes as major regrets of his. Timberlake, now 31, has since embraced more masculine grooming habits.

“I don’t like when I see guys do too much hair gel,” he says. “I don’t mean Pauly D [from MTV’s Jersey Shore] because that’s basically performance art. But when you use enough hair gel that your hair becomes a sculpture – and you wanted it to look that way? It’s just weird.”

N*Sync is expected to reunite for several dates in 2012. It must have been important for Timberlake to get all this off his chest before then.
